SSEA is a non-profit organization on a mission to spark innovation, celebrate excellence, and create opportunities for businesses and individuals to thrive.
WHERE VISION MEETS ACTION
DRIVING INNOVATION, EXCELLENCE & SHARED PROSPERITY
The South Shore Economic Alliance (SSEA) is built on a simple belief: our region is overflowing with potential. Across every municipality and community on the South Shore, a bold entrepreneurial spirit is taking root and we’re here to help it grow.
We champion collaboration, spark new ideas, and create pathways for businesses to think bigger, work smarter, and rise higher. And just as the tide connects and nourishes our coastline, SSEA brings people, industries, and opportunities together to build a stronger, more resilient economy where every community can thrive.
A rising tide lifts all boats. We’re here to help raise the waterline.
BE PART OF SOMETHING EXCEPTIONAL
Our work is not about owning every initiative. It is about helping the right people get into the right rooms, at the right time, with the right support. By connecting vision with action, SSEA helps build a stronger, more innovative, and more prosperous South Shore.
We are seeking investors to fuel these initiatives by contributing to operational and administrative support. With your help, we can deliver engaging, high-quality events that truly make a difference.

KICK OFF 2026
Thank you to everyone who attended the Towards Prosperity lunch.
Attendees enjoyed lunch and an engaging armchair conversation with Don Mills and David Campbell – hosts of the Insights podcast and authors of Toward Prosperity: The Transformation of Atlantic Canada’s Economy.
Businesses from Chester to Shelburne were in the room with lots of quality questions from the audience. Everyone received a copy of the book and Don and David were available to signing them.
Click here to read the synopsis and findings from our follow-up Round Table in March as we continue the conversation to find ways that SSEA can best support the business community on the South Shore.
Special thanks to Brian Limoyo for the photos:

Our mission is to inspire economic growth on the South Shore by building a stronger relationship between the public, local businesses, entrepreneurs, and the organizations that support economic development.
We've created two short streams in one survey: the first part is for community members and the second part is for business owners and operators. Your input will be compiled into a summary report shared with Chambers of Commerce and economic development partners, and used to shape real action.
This is the first edition of what we intend to be a recurring initiative. The goal is simple: to keep asking better questions, and to keep listening.
Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your experience.
Provide your contact information at the end of the survey to be entered into a draw for prizes.

At The Channel, we believe that wine is the world's most eloquent traveller. Every bottle that passes through here has made a journey and arrives at the edge of the Atlantic, ready to tell its story.
We are the passage through which those stories reach you.
We are a wine bar rooted in a town that has always known how to navigate between the intimate and the expansive, the local and the global, the rugged and the refined. The Channel is where Liverpool gathers, not to be impressed, but to be delighted. We curate with intention, pour with generosity, and create a room where conversation flows as freely as the wine. We take what we do seriously, and ourselves only lightly.
We are here for the curious, the convivial, and the quietly adventurous, for anyone who has ever looked at a glass and wondered where it came from, what it tastes like, and who they might share it with.
The Channel is that place: a harbour for the well-chosen, a current of good company, and a reminder that the best journeys often begin with a single, well-chosen pour and this is exactly where to begin.
